work with your child’s busy schedule. And best of all, it’s very affordable!  Visit our

How Fit Are Your Kids?
Last summer, the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) issued a startling recommendation
– in light of the childhood obesity epidemic and the childhood onset of adult diseases such
as type 2 diabetes and metabolic syndrome, the AAP advised pediatricians to consider
prescribing cholesterol-lowering medications for certain high-risk patients with elevated
levels of LDL cholesterol.  Now thousands of children as young as eight may be taking the
same medication as their grandparents! At a time when the fitness of America’s children
has become a cause for national concern, we are so excited about sharing our Hi 5 Fitness
program with you.  The program has been designed and is managed by Susan Caldwell
who is a Certified Personal Trainer and has personally lost over 150 pounds through eating
healthy and incorporating exercise into her life.  She is the mother of two children under the
age of six, one of whom has a special disability.  Susan was one of twelve inspiring stories

Why Choose Hi 5 Fitness?
Innovative curriculum, programs and motivational strategies will be used to excite young
people to be active and pursue healthy life styles in a group setting.  Each fifty minute
session will include both nutrition as well as physical activity.  Some sessions will include  
cooking as well to kick start children's desire to eat healthy.  It has been proven that if
children prepare the food themselves, they are much more likely to eat it!  If desired, we
can track your child's weight each week.  Regular participation in a fitness program for
children may also accomplish the following:

  • Reduce anxiety and depression

This program is designed for all youth ages 11 +, both those who
are of normal weight as well as those who need extra motivation
on the path to a healthier weight.  No matter how old or young,
overweight or thin a person is, healthy eating habits and physical
activity reduce the risk of heart disease and certain cancers. The
Hi 5 Fitness program is ultimately about maintaining life long health
through both healthy eating habits and physical activity.  We even
have a full kitchen studio to teach your fitness friend about healthy
